Education
Contacts and joint actions between Education and Culture have existed for many years, including the organisation of guided school visits to museums and monuments. The DGPC, through its education services, seeks to provide a wide offer of enriching activities for children and youngsters, both during school periods and holidays. Nationwide initiatives such as the Competition “My School adopts a Museum, a Palace, a Monument...” aim to help students have a deeper knowledge of heritage issues.
On the other hand, being aware of the important social role played by public heritage services, the DGPC also develops actions aimed at enriching the knowledge and experience of students from Senior Universities and, more globally, targeting retired and elderly citizens.
